The Race — 0:35, sound on. Every frame generated and assembled with AI.

01The idea

The Race is about a chase that never ends — the endless search to master creative tools that keep changing faster than anyone can learn them. The moment you stop learning is the moment you fall behind. There's no line to cross, only the next one to keep up with.

So the film is a runner giving everything to reach the finish — and just as she's about to cross it, the line moves further away. That's the feeling I wanted to hold: the pursuit of mastery and creative advantage that always stays one step ahead of you.

02The film

Thirty-five seconds, one continuous mood. Wet tarmac, dense evergreen conifers, low mist sitting on the road — a cold, desaturated palette that keeps the whole thing in one breath. The camera stays close: an over-the-shoulder push down the road, an extreme close-up on a face streaked with sweat and rain, a stride that never quite eases.

It builds toward a single word on a banner — FINISH — and then takes it away. She reaches for the line and it slides further off. No finish; just the next stretch.

The finish line she's chasing — the closer she gets, the further it moves.

03The process

I started with a character sheet — the runner and the finish-line banner locked in as references — so nothing drifted from shot to shot. Then I wrote the script and generated each scene against it, one at a time, keeping every frame consistent with that original sheet.

I built it in Figma Weave, and the node-based workflow is the reason why — it gives me real control over the output, so I can shape each shot deliberately instead of taking whatever a single prompt hands back. From there the stills were retouched in Firefly, brought to motion with Kling, upscaled with Topaz, and cut together in Premiere Pro.
